perhaps you have some baby clothes you can't part with or have sadly lost someone close to you and are unsure of what to do with their clothes.

we are all for passing on clothes and reusing as much as we can in our home, but sometimes there are some items we just cannot part with and that’s okay, but imagine you could be reminded of the memories daily instead of having them stored away in a box in the attic only to be glanced at when storing other items up there every now and then.

why not reuse them in a way that you can hold them close to you - and feel the memories every day?

made from your loved ones' clothing, memory quilts are the perfect way to display and treasure the precious memories of your favourite people.

keepsake quilts comprise of a quilt top made from your clothing, backed with 100% GOTS cotton with an internal layer of 100% cotton wadding. we will choose a backing fabric that compliments your clothes unless you specify otherwise on ordering, you can see the backing fabric options available in the last photo. 

the minimum number of clothing items needed for each size assumes that we can cut two patches from each of the items you send. If sending tiny sized items, please send more than the minimum requirement.

hats, bibs, socks etc can be stitched onto the top of your quilt but should be sent in addition to the minimum number of items.

we will work carefully to include all the special parts of the items you send, however, if you have any specific requests about how your clothing is used, please include a note in your parcel when sending it to us. we will do everything we can to make your ideas work. 

if you would like to supply a specific cotton fabric for your backing that is perfectly okay too, please ensure it is enclosed in the package with the clothing items you send. 

if you are providing your own cotton backing fabric there is a 1.5 meter minimum required for mini quilt. if you have a special request for one of the fabrics we have in studio (pictured last - please email us immediately after ordering so we can add the details to your order, otherwise we will pick the most complimenting fabric to the clothes you provide)

all payments are required in full upon placing your order - this will secure your keepsake slot. There is a 8 week lead time from the time we receive your clothing, however you will likely receive your quilt before this. 

please ensure your items are washed and fully dry before sending them to us.

SIZING

the mini quilt is approximately 45cm x 55cm in size. it fits beautifully inside a 50cmx70cm frame, alternatively can be displayed on a wall without a frame for a natural textured look.

SAFETY AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

due to the bespoke nature of your keepsakes, we are unable to CE safety test them. They are, therefore, sold as keepsakes and NOT toys, and should NOT be left with a baby or child unattended/ unsupervised. Éireloom Dublin cannot accept any liability for the misuse of keepsakes. 

keep away from fire. 

keepsake quilts can be machine washed at a low temperature on a delicate setting. Wadding in quilts is designed to shrink approximately 5% upon washing.. Quilts should be air dried only and are not suitable for tumble drying.

your clothes are stabilised with a fusible interfacing which prevents your fabrics from stretching when stitched. Quilts are backed with 100% GOTS cotton and include an internal layer of 100% cotton wadding.

SHIPPING

shipping will be calculated according to the size of your order. This is not included in the price of this product, an invoice will be sent to you once your keepsake is finished and ready to be shipped to you. 

we understand how irreplaceable your clothing items are and so because of this, all keepsake items are sent via a tracked delivery service.

upon dispatch, you will receive a tracking number as well as email updates about when your item will be delivered and how to make alternative arrangements if you are not going to be in at the time of delivery.

collection from Dublin is an alternative option.

due to the bespoke nature of your keepsakes, once we have received your clothing items, we are unable to return your clothing or issue a refund. By purchasing a keepsake you are agreeing to the T&Cs, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy. Please read before purchase. 

returns and refunds cannot be accepted.

HOW IT WORKS

order your keepsake in three easy steps: just choose which quilt you would like on our website, place your order and send us your clothes - we will do the rest.

1. choose + send your clothing

once you have placed your order, it's time to start choosing your clothing. 

when you package your clothing, if there is anything we need to know, you can leave a note into your package. you may have special requests about layout or design - we will do everything we can to make your ideas work. if you are choosing to provide your own backing fabric, please ensure it is enclosed in the same package as the clothes you are sending us.

approximately one month before your keepsake is due to be made, you will receive an email with our address details. we recommend sending your clothing to us via a tracked delivery service. this postage and packaging cost is not included in the product price and is the customers responsibility to pay.

2. your keepsake is made

once we receive your items, we will email to confirm receipt. we will initiate designing and creating your quilt. we will post progress photos on our instagram - follow for updates @eireloomdublin

your keepsake will be made and posted within the month you have been allocated. please let us know of any deadlines for special dates and we will do our best to accommodate these. 

3. receive your keepsake

once your quilt is complete, we will return your finished keepsake and any remaining items unused to its forever home via a tracked delivery service, you will receive an invoice to pay for the shipment of your keepsake. your keepsake is then yours to treasure forever. don't forget to share and tag your own photos - word of mouth is what keeps our small business going and we appreciate all your support, it truly means the world to us.
